This has been a really long couple of weeks. We have been so busy it isn't funny.
Our little tadpole is practically a full frog now. His back legs have been visible for a week or so and growing rapidly each day, then yesterday we noticed that his little front legs had literally sprouted over night. If you would like to see some recent pics go to the tadpoles page. I have a video that I am still trying to get on here. Just haven't had time or the internet wouldn't work.
I also wanted to introduce you to "Jack". We decided to go looking around at the local pounds and shelters over the weekend at dogs just for the heck of it, and brought this guy home. I am thoroughly convinced that this is DJ's dog! I was convinced the moment we got him home, and then the next day I noticed that the birthday that they have listed on his paperwork is May 28th. Yup, DJ's dog! Anyways, he is almost 40 pounds, and he is only 4 months old. He is a great dane and retriever mix.
Today he is not feeling so well. I had to take him back up to the vet because he was really sick this morning. He seems to be doing a little better now though, and the vet ruled out anything too serious. Sounds like there was just too much change all at once combined with the vet visit on Monday with all the shots and deworming and all that. Hopefully he will be feeling much better by tomorrow, otherwise, it is back to the doc we go.
The kids are doing well. We are steadily making it through our work. Kaleb through his reading and math. We broke up some of the monotony yesterday by making some macaroni art pictures. (Top) Kaleb glued the macaroni around the outline of his boat, Alex just dripped glue onto paper and meticulously placed macaroni pieces all over. =) I have also been putting Alex's cutting skills to use now that she can follow directions a little better. I have a cutting book for her. She just has to follow the black lines basically. It gets progressively more difficult as the book goes along and becomes more project like. Kaleb is thrilled because we have picked up some more robot books and kits for him. The kits are going into his "deployment" bag for later.
