I don't have any pictures today. I had a really cute video that I wanted to put on here, but there seems to be something wrong with the video camera now. It is completely dead. I don't know if it is the battery or not, since it shows no signs of charging at all. Hopefully it just needs a new battery. This will only be the second time we have had to replace the battery since we bought the camera back in... what?... January of 2003, I believe.
The kids and I were supposed to go to the chapel this morning, but I decided last night to stay home. I found out through an email that they were going to be having a funeral service there at the same time as our bible study groups are usually there and the building and parking lot were expected to be really crowded. I just didn't feel like dealing with the mess. We would have had to leave even earlier than usual and besides, who wants to try and have a nice cheerful get together knowing that there is a funeral for a fallen soldier going on in the next room. No thanks.
I am actually very happy that we stayed put today. We had a really nice day at home. Well, except for the pain in the !*@ dog digging up my garden, AGAIN. On the other hand, I did get to see how well my carrots have been growing, since a good chunk of them were unearthed and laying strewn across the bed.
The kids were actually excited to help me clean up the house this morning. They sorted the dirty laundry into the bins together and picked up all of their stuff. They also got to play outside a lot today. It was rather cool out, but very clear and sunny all day. Alex seemed excited to clean today because she started asking for tokens this morning like I give Kaleb for his chores. In fact she already traded them in to have a baby that has been sitting in her closet in the package opened up today. I have to admit that I forgot the thing was even in there. She handed me 10 tokens. I know I didn't give her quite that many, but I figured I would overlook that this time and let her experience what it meant to get to trade in her tokens. Kaleb got to trade in some of his tokens today also. Tomorrow night we get to have a game night and bring out one of the board games that he loves so much.
Well, I don't have much else to say, so I am off.
